Bryan Khaw
I don’t get to talk about myself often so this feels a bit weird doesn’t it?
Hello, hello - I’m Bryan Khaw. I’m a wedding videographer based out of Phoenix, Arizona and I’ve had the dream job of filming weddings for over six years.
The films I make are captivating in a way that’s not focused on the spectacle. I don’t believe it ever should be. I approach a wedding day with an attitude that doesn’t aim to influence, but rather bring out the charm and character that makes the day dynamic and personal to the people taking part in it.
I’m inspired by many story beats of classical and modern romance films and that leads to what I think to be a bold, but graceful take on the genre. Here’s a couple recent and not so recent favorites of mine (in no particular order).
Personally, I’m not a fan of stage managing throughout the day. I believe a core aspect of what makes a great wedding film is its integrity.
It’s a very grounded approach. I observe many beautiful and emotional interactions on a wedding day and I make it a point to not leave my footprint on them. These are the moments I believe many look back on and cherish, not the manufactured poses.
I see a wedding film as an incredible outlet for me to both express myself as well as the couple. Everything that I do from how shots are composed to the music I carefully choose, aim to tie the narrative together in a style of an art house short - almost reminiscent of a personal home video.
FAQ’s

All my commissions include a 7-10 minute feature film, a short preview, and full edits of the ceremony and toasts. I'm not a fan of having a plethora off add ons, so common asks like drone and audio are included by default.
Any specific requests can be made during the booking process.

I do! Depending on where your wedding is hosted, I only require cover for the flight and accommodation - nothing more.
-
Yes. A copy of my liability insurance can be provided upon request.
-
The majority of my work is done on my own. Depending on circumstances of your wedding, I might bring a secondary videographer.
-
The more we move along with our conversations and as more details become available, I start to paint a clearer picture of how I want to edit the film. A big part of that is the music. I never make any decisions for this prior to your event.
-
I typically recommend to book as soon as you have confirmed your date. To allow my full attention per event, I take a limited number of bookings per year and only one event per weekend.

Many of my couples, particularly those in the public eye, value privacy and discretion above all else. For these instances, you may request for a “Privacy Clause” to be included in your agreement.
